Arrest Made In Deadly Rock Hill Shooting

Police have arrested 23-year-old Quintonio Porter of York in connection to Friday’s fatal shooting in Rock Hill.
Police say Porter was driving the vehicle when he got into a shootout with another person at the corner of Keels Ave. and Black St. Porter was shot in the leg while his friend Jarrius Harding was killed. Porter then drove to the 600 block of Cauthen Street where he called for help.
After investigating the shooting Friday police have now charged Porter with Attempted Murder, Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime, Carrying a Pistol Unlawfully, Possession with Intent to Distribute Crack (2nd offense), and Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance (2nd offense).
Porter is being held at Moss Justice Center in York.
Police are still investigating the incident to determine all parties involved.

ROCK HILL, S.C. — Police are investigating a deadly shooting in Rock Hill. Investigators say two people were shot inside a vehicle on Black Street.
One of the victims was pronounced dead. The other victim was taken to a local hospital.
The shooting happened around 1pm. This is the fourth shooting incident reported in Rock Hill in less than 24 hours. Police are investigating three shootings that took place Thursday evening. Click HERE for more details on those shootings.
