3 Teens Charged in Armed Robbery
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Three teens, including a 13-year-old, have been charged for their involvement in an armed robbery in Charlotte.
On Thursday at approximately 3:45 a.m., officers responded to the 7-Eleven gas station on Monroe Road in reference to an armed robbery. The clerk advised that he was inside the store when the suspects entered and brandished a firearm. The suspects took property from the victim business and fled the scene on foot.
A K9 Unit responded to the scene and tracked the suspects towards a parked vehicle. The three suspects were located inside and taken into custody without incident.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have charged Marquese Addison, 18, Ashanti Jackson, 18, and a 13-year-old male for their involvement in the armed robbery. Addison and Jackson were transferred to the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office. The juvenile was transported to a juvenile facility.
